Introduction

RoIntel ("we", "us", "our") operates the website located at rointel.com. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have regarding your information. By creating an account or otherwise using RoIntel, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password. Your password is hashed using industry-standard algorithms and is never stored in plaintext. If you set a display name, we store that as well.

If you choose to link your Roblox account for portfolio tracking, we store the Roblox user ID, creator ID, and any group IDs you voluntarily associate with your RoIntel account. This information is used solely to provide portfolio analytics and clone detection features.

Payment information is processed entirely by Stripe. We never store credit card numbers, CVVs, or full card details on our servers. The only payment-related data we retain is your Stripe customer ID and your current subscription status, which are necessary to manage your plan.

We collect usage data such as pages visited, features used, search queries within the platform, and items added to watchlists. We also collect technical data including your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referral URLs, and session duration. This information helps us maintain and improve the service.

If you connect your Discord account, we store your Discord user ID for the purposes of role assignment and alert delivery only. We do not access your Discord messages, server memberships, or other Discord data.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to provide and maintain the RoIntel service, including processing your subscriptions and payments via Stripe, delivering Discord alerts and notifications you have configured, tracking your Roblox items, and providing portfolio analytics. We also use aggregate usage patterns to improve the platform and to communicate service updates, billing issues, and security notices. Your data may additionally be used to enforce our terms of service and prevent abuse of the platform.

We do not use your data to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes under any circumstances.

Roblox Data

RoIntel collects publicly available data from Roblox's public APIs, including item names, thumbnails, favorite counts, pricing, creator names, and game statistics such as concurrent player counts. This data is publicly accessible on the Roblox platform and is not considered personal information. We aggregate and analyze this data to provide market intelligence, breakout detection, and trending insights. RoIntel is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to Roblox Corporation in any way.

Third-Party Services

We rely on a limited number of third-party services to operate RoIntel. Stripe (stripe.com) handles all payment processing, and Stripe's own privacy policy governs the payment data they collect. Supabase provides our database hosting and authentication infrastructure. Vercel hosts the application and handles deployment. Cloudflare provides CDN, DNS, and worker hosting services. Discord is used for alert delivery and community features when you choose to connect your account. DataImpulse provides proxy services for data collection; no user data is shared with this service. Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy, which governs how they handle any data they receive.

Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies solely for authentication and session management. These cookies are necessary for the service to function and allow you to remain logged in between visits. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any form of cross-site tracking. We do not run Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar analytics services. We do not serve advertisements or allow third-party ad trackers on our platform. Session cookies expire when you close your browser or when your authentication session ends, whichever comes first.

Data Retention

Your account data is retained for as long as your account remains active. If you cancel your subscription, your account and data remain accessible, but features revert to the free tier. If you request account deletion, we will delete your account data, linked creators, watchlists, and subscription records within 30 days of receiving your request. Anonymized, aggregated analytics data that is not tied to any individual user may be retained indefinitely. Roblox market data such as item statistics and game statistics is retained independently of user accounts, as it is publicly available information.

Data Security

All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms and are never stored in plaintext. Database access is restricted and requires authentication. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, which is PCI DSS Level 1 certified. We conduct periodic security reviews of our infrastructure. While no system can guarantee absolute security, we take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Your Rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you by requesting a copy at any time. You can update or correct your account information through the Settings page. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us, and we will process the request within 30 days. You can also request an export of your data in a portable format. At any time, you may disconnect your Discord account, unlink tracked creators, and remove watchlist items directly through the dashboard without needing to contact support.

Children's Privacy

RoIntel is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not use RoIntel or provide any information on the platform. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@rointel.com.

International Users

RoIntel is operated from the United States. If you access the service from outside the United States, please be aware that your data may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country of residence. By using the service, you consent to this transfer and processing.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify users of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the platform. Continued use of RoIntel after changes have been posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
