Roblox is piloting a new UGC category. The early numbers are absurd.
Backgrounds opened to a small group of pilot creators on August 6. Since then, 10.3% of their new items have reached 100+ favorites. The next best category, Emote, sits at 4.6%. The average across every other category is 0.7%.
Backgrounds is a limited pilot: only approved creators can publish, which keeps supply low and hit rates high, for now.
